How to complete SSC GD Syllabus through books?

The Staff Selection Commission is an Indian institution with headquarters in New Delhi that recruits personnel for various positions in Ministries and Departments of the Indian Government. It also hires for subordinate positions.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts a national-level competitive examination to select General Duty (GD) Constables and Riflemen. The number of times the exam is held in a year is not predetermined and depends on the number of vacancies announced by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and the Delhi Police Department.

The SSC GD is for the recruitment of General Duty Constables in the following Armed Forces under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA):

  • Border Security Force (BSF)
  • Central Industrial Security force (CISF)
  • Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)
  • Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP)
  • Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB)
  • National Investigation Agency (NIA)
  • Secretariat Security Force (SSF)
  • Riflemen GD in Assam Rifles

SSC GD Examination Syllabus

Before taking the SSC GD test, the candidate should be aware of the SSC GD syllabus:

  • Computer-Based Testing (CBE)
  • Physical Efficiency Exam (PET)
  • Physical Standard Examination (PST)
  • Extensive Medical Examination (DME)

The computer-based test is worth 100 points and consists of four subjects for 25 points each. The examination takes 90 minutes to complete, and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers.

The CBE contains the following subjects that are essential to pass the SSC GD Exam:

  2. General Knowledge & Awareness
  3. Elementary Mathematics
  4. English/Hindi
