A rugged design makes the Huawei Sound Joy perfect for your living room. With the strap, you can attach it to your backpack or carry it around with you. Despite its size, it can be placed in bicycle bottle cages. With the IP67 rating, this waterproof speaker can also withstand temperatures as low as -15 degrees Fahrenheit and most climate conditions.
Even though it is meant for the outdoors, the Sound Joy still looks very stylish, so you could put it in a living room without looking out of place. This device comes with bold and brash buttons (which look suspiciously like those on the UE Boom 3). There are raised and illuminated volume buttons on one side, and power, Bluetooth, and voice assistant buttons on the other.
Your battery level and volume are displayed, as well as a circle of LED lights surrounding the top of the speaker. Lighting up the area is particularly effective when you’re in an enclosed space (or sleeping under the stars).
While it sounds good, the Huawei Sound Joy isn’t going to appeal to audiophiles accustomed to hearing every detail at all times. Nonetheless, this device does a good job for the average listener. Two passive radiators, a full-range speaker, and a silk dome tweeter provide a powerful sound.
